The kids

I just wanted to give everyone an update on how the kids are doing.

Calloway started fifth grade this year and is in the middle of his State research project right now. He is doing his project on Indiana which is pretty cool because his Aunt Rachael is from Indiana. His favorite football team, and mine is the Indianapolis Colts. Cal just celebrated his 10th birthday. I can't believe he is in double digits already. He is currently playing wide receiver for the Midwest Spartans which is the Golden Empire Youth Football League team for Frontier High School. At the same time he is also pitching and playing shortstop for the Southwest A's. So between two sports and being a new fifth grade student you can probably imagine that he is really busy, but he is managing to stay on top of it all (he gets that from his mother).

Ryan just started 1st grade. He is really excited to be going to school all day long and he is doing excellent. His teacher told us that she is having to give him extra work in class because he finishes his regular assignments before all of the other students. She quickly realized that a bored Ryan is asking for trouble, because if you don't entertain him he will entertain himself with something (usually something mischievous). Ryan really is a sweet kid though. He loves to play with his little sister, and he tries so hard to hang out with his big brother and all of his older friends. Ryan is still convinced that he and Cal are going to play soccer together at school even though the first and fifth graders have no recesses together. Ryan is playing AYSO soccer and is really enjoying it this year.

Raegan started preschool this year. Mommy took the day off from work so she could go with us to take Raegan to her first day of school. Raegan was very excited and started playing with all of the kids right away. It was definitely much more traumatic for us than it was for her. She is getting to be such a big girl so quickly. Raegan is also going to gymnastics once a week and having a lot of fun. She told me that she was able to do a waterfall all by herself for the very first time. I was excited for her even though I have absolutely no idea what a waterfall is.

Anyway the kids are doing great. I will post more about April and I soon.
